In 1856, a sawmill was built in the Sefinental valley, which is owned by a local alpine cooperative. The sawmill is still in operation today and was completely renovated a few years ago. The sawmill has always been powered by water. Locals can have their timber cut into planks and beams here. During the summer season, guided tours of the sawmill are available, allowing you to discover this idyllic spot and gain an insight into the sawyer’s work.
